Heralding from the shire, Richard Cejer was, from an early age, driven by music, thanks to a combination of long euro road trips and his parent’s eclectic car mixtapes. He sang Wonderwall in front of his cousins one time in ’95 and knew immediately that he was on to something. With guitar heavy melodies and an ongoing desire for pristine harmonic flows, Richard, currently based in the Netherlands, creates experiences that range from desperate woe to co mplete joy, yet, while maintaining a variety of genre.
Richard has spent the last few years composing a massive back catalogue of material. His next step is to release a series of EPS, the first of which will be available via a number of platforms early 2018.
He has played in a variety of cities around his native UK (London, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Peterborough, Lincoln) and the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Utrecht, Groningen, Haarlem, Almere, Den Haag), whilst supporting a wide range of act s e.g. Less Than Jake, Zebrahead, High Hazels and many more. Richard has received support from heavy hitting institutions, such as BBC via their highly regarded Introducing concept. In 2018, Richard will join the singer-songwriter competition Grote Prijs van Nederland. Also, Richard Cejer is selected to be one of the Dutch acts to play at showcase festival MENT, Slovenia.
